A worked example

Fictional example for illustration. The artist, release, and quote below are invented.

Mira Vale announces “Last Bus Home,” a single built from late-night field recordings

BRISTOL, OCTOBER 2 — Independent artist Mira Vale will release “Last Bus Home” on October 23. The track combines restrained electronic percussion with recordings collected during the walk from a rehearsal room to the last bus stop.

Written after a change in working hours, the song follows the small routines that make an unfamiliar city feel like home. Vale produced the track in a bedroom studio and kept the street sounds in the final arrangement.

“I wanted the recording to feel like the moment a noisy day finally goes quiet,” Vale says.

The example supplies a concrete angle, a release date, a sense of the sound, and an attributable quote. It does not rely on unsupported claims such as “the next global superstar.”

How long should the press release be?

Long enough to explain the announcement, the story, and the essential facts. A concise page is a useful starting point; remove repetition before adding more background.

Can I use this for an album or EP?

Yes. Change the release type, explain the project as a whole, and identify a focus track when it helps the listener. Keep detailed track credits in the linked assets.
